Hummingbird House is Queensland’s only children’s hospice, and one of only three children’s hospices in Australia. We provide specialised paediatric palliative care services to children and young people with a life-limiting condition, helping them make the most of every precious moment they have.

As a child and family focused service, Hummingbird House strives to provide true choice about when, where and how families receive our care. Eligible families can choose to access our services at our purpose-built home away from home in Brisbane, or in their home or community, which are delivered in person or via telehealth. Most importantly, families don’t incur any out of pocket costs to receive our care and support.

Hummingbird House welcomes and celebrates families from all walks of life, regardless of their culture, ethnicity, country of birth, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, religion and ability. We work with families and their primary care teams at every point of a child’s journey, to ensure our care and support is tailored to meet their unique needs.
