COVID-19 statement
This page is being updated regularly. Last update – 9:00am (AEST), Thursday 18 August 2022.
Hummingbird House is following Wesley Mission Queensland’s (WMQ) response to the current COVID-19 situation in Queensland. Our priority is to ensure the safety of our guests, families and team, and every decision we make is guided by this.
Hummingbird House is currently open to guests and families and operating as business as usual.
Visitor rules
Hummingbird House has implemented a range of infection control procedures and restrictions across our service to minimise the spread of COVID-19. While we will continue to provide services to ALL children and families, whether they are vaccinated or not, there will be some additional precautions in place for unvaccinated parents, carers and guardians who are either accompanying a child or young person at the house or present during an appointment.
In addition to the infection control procedures and restrictions in place, we ask that you do not enter Hummingbird House or any WMQ site if you:
- Are suffering from flu-like symptoms or are unwell
- Have been in contact with a case of COVID-19
- Are subject to a home quarantine order or awaiting a COVID-19 test result.
