Wavell State School 2024

Wavell State High students are making a real impact. In 2024, their Year 10 Community Service group raised $1,600 for Hummingbird House—part of over $8,000 the school has donated so far.

The 2024 Year 10 Community Service group successfully raised $1,600 in support of Hummingbird House.

During the year, this group of inspirational students held sausage sizzles, sold cold drinks, hosted Mothers and Father’s Day Breakfasts, as well as many other fundraising activities, all in support of Hummingbird House.

The relationship between Wavell State High School and Hummingbird House commenced several years ago and has included a delivery of a Christmas tree full of gift vouchers to the value of $1,250.

The students and teachers have a deep appreciation for making a positive impact in the community and since they started supporting Hummingbird House, the school has donated more than $8,000.
