Tanya’s ‘inspire’ lunch - Raising awareness
Tanya first heard of Hummingbird House when she volunteered as a face painter for a boy’s first birthday. She didn’t know what it was then, but that day changed everything—she’s been fundraising ever since.

After that day, Tanya decided to organise a Haute Couture Tea fundraiser at Bond University, featuring a fashion parade, raffles, auctions, and plenty of fun. The event raised over $17,000 for Hummingbird House.
Following COVID, a smaller event was needed, leading to the launch of 'Inspire' a Long Lunch, held at Farm and Co., Kingscliff. With 40 amazing women in attendance, the event not only raised much-needed awareness of Hummingbird House’s support for Queensland families but also contributed over $4,000 in donations.
During COVID, Tanya also organised a digital Instagram raffle, with generous small businesses donating prizes and another $4,000 raised.
I’m looking forward to my next event for Hummingbird House, hopefully this year in 2025.
Tanya shared, much to our excitement.
