Bracken Ridge Coles store - Backyard Bonanza

Coles Bracken Ridge brought big heart to Backyard Bonanza 2024, turning their stall into a fundraising hub for Hummingbird House. With games, goodies and a special Bluey & Bingo meet and greet, they raised over $3,200 in one amazing day.

Backyard Bonanza (aka BYB) is an annual celebration for the Bracken Ridge and surrounding communities and is free to enter. You name it, this bonanza has it - food stalls, market stalls, community stalls, live reptiles, an animal farm, train rides and so much more. Even Bluey and Bingo have attended. There is something for everyone.

Some of the wonderful Coles Staff at Bracken Ridge, booked a site at the 2024 Backyard Bonanza and dedicated it to raising funds and awareness for Hummingbird House.

Heavily endorsed by the organisers, they were offered a second site for free, allowing this amazing team to double their fundraising efforts. Hummingbird House was also offered the chance to invite families to attend a meet and greet with Bingo and Bluey.

The double site allowed them to have a bake sale, book sale, can coin toss game plus a mini cent auction with 20 prizes to be won with the major prize being a night’s stay at Mon Kono at Redcliffe.

The huge day resulted in more than $3,200 being raised for Hummingbird House.
