Hummingbird House is a joint initiative of Hummingbird House Foundation and Wesley Mission Queensland, and is only possible thanks to broader partnerships with government and the community.
Hummingbird House Foundation
Hummingbird House Foundation (trading as Hummingbird House) is a not for profit organisation established in February 2011 to address gaps in services for Queensland children and their families.
Since its inception, Hummingbird House Foundation has developed strong connections locally, nationally, and internationally with specialist paediatric palliative care services. The competence and character of the Hummingbird House Foundation Board has led to an official International Children’s Palliative Care Network twinning agreement with the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices in the UK, and strong working partnerships with Bear Cottage in New South Wales and Very Special Kids in Victoria.
Hummingbird House Foundation’s primary role is to support fundraising, advocate, and provide strategic oversight and guidance for Hummingbird House.
The Hummingbird House Foundation Board comprises of: Kym Warner (Board Chair), Kerryn Fewster, Keith Howells, Mark James, Kevin Joyce, Andrew MacDonald, Damien Rossi, and Candice O’Neill (Company Secretary).
Hummingbird House Foundation (ABN 39 149 413 356) is a charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not–For-Profits Commission (ACN 149 413 356), registered as a charity in Queensland (No. CH2066), and endorsed as an income tax exempt charitable entity and a deductible gift recipient (DGR 1).
Wesley Mission Queensland
Wesley Mission Queensland is very proud to be the clinical operator of Hummingbird House Brisbane, and contributed the land on which Hummingbird House has been built in Chermside North Brisbane.

Wesley Mission Queensland are known and respected by government, industry partners, and the community for their ability to provide and initiate services and programs in response to the ever changing needs within our community.
Through the strategic partnership with Hummingbird House Foundation, and with more than 80 years of experience in clinical care, they are well placed to deliver the services offered by Hummingbird House.
Wesley Mission Queensland (ABN: 28 746 881 862) is a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) with charity tax concessions, endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) and covered by Item 1 of the table in section 30-15 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.
