In Memorium Art Exhibition (open to the public)

With the assistance of the Cathedral of St Stephen Art Group, the recently refurbished George Hartnett Metropolitan Funerals at Kelvin Grove will be converted into an Art Gallery as part of the 2019 Dying to Know Day events. Brisbane artists will display works that reflect their thoughts and ideas around Alfred Lord Tennyson’s quote “tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all”

Inspire Charity Challenge

Come along for an exhilarating morning as Inspire Health Services opens its doors to the community for a half marathon Sled Push! Compete in a team or solo, to raise money for Hummingbird House. Inspire will be matching all donations dollar for dollar, with $1 raised for every completed lap. Food and coffee will available, while you cheer on the competing teams. As Spring is in full bloom and the jacarandas begin to paint the streets with colour, there is no better time to enjoy the beauty of gin surrounded by botanicals in Brisbane. Enjoy Australia’s largest gin festival as it sets up at the iconic Newstead House and taste gin direct from the best of Australian and International distillers alongside a day of gin festivities. Smooth your way through the evening with gin workshops, music and great food. The official charity partner for the festival is Hummingbird House. Brisbane Convoy for Kids includes a convoy of trucks, buses, utes, bikes, and service vehicles from Forest Lake to Redcliffe, and a day of family fun at the Redcliffe Showgrounds! Gates open at 9am for: free rides, petting zoo, raffles, auctions, displays, market stalls, live entertainment, and food and drinks. For the fifth consecutive year, funds raised will support Hummingbird House. Tickets are available at the gate (on Scarborough Rd), and you can register to take part in the Convoy here!
