Hummingbird House, Queensland’s only children’s hospice, will operate as an 8 bed, 24/7 medical facility, providing physician and nursing support and pain and symptom management. Scheduled family breaks and emergency respite care will also feature as key services.

Despite having a population of 23 million, there are only 2 children’s hospices in Australia; none are in Queensland.
